Amohas was born from a simple curiosity about skin and the rituals that shape it, and from the woman who couldn't stop asking how those rituals actually worked.

Founder Aishwariya Kannan grew up in India, where skincare was never about complicated routines. It was rooted in everyday ingredients like turmeric, chickpea flour, rose water, coconut oil, castor oil, and ghee. These were not seen as beauty trends but as trusted practices that supported healthy skin over time.

As that curiosity deepened through two master's degrees in biotechnology, those same ingredients began to reveal their scientific significance. Curcumin from turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Fatty acids found in coconut oil and ghee play an essential role in strengthening the skin barrier, improving hydration, and protecting against environmental stress.
